Tolo Labs (“we”, “us”), based in Toronto, Canada, makes the Tolo games and runs games.tolo.app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: support@games.tolo.app.
What we collect
- Account: a guest account is created automatically. If you sign in, we also have your email address.
- Profile: your username (a random name we assign, which you can change to one you choose), and the picture and frame you pick in each game. They’re public: other players see them on leaderboards.
- Gameplay: what you play, your results, scores, in-game items and leaderboard points.
- App usage: how you use the app, with your app version, device type, language and country. It doesn’t include your email or anything you type.
- Device: your IP address, and a notification token if you allow notifications.
- Purchases: what you bought and whether it’s active. Payments go through Apple or Google, and we never see your payment details.
The website doesn’t use cookies.
How we use it
To run the games and save your progress, sign you in, run leaderboards and keep them fair, send notifications you allow, provide purchases, show ads, prevent abuse, and improve the games.
Who we share it with
Other players see only your username, picture, frame and leaderboard points. We use these providers to run the games: Cloudflare (hosting and data storage), Expo, Apple and Google (notifications), RevenueCat (purchases) and Google AdMob (ads). Their servers may be outside your country, including in the United States. We don’t sell your personal information. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Ads
The games show ads from Google AdMob, which may use your device’s advertising ID if you allow it. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings. Seehow Google uses this information.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and gameplay data until you delete your account. App usage data is kept without your name or email, and isn’t removed when you delete your account.
Your choices
- Delete your data: in the app, go to Settings → Account and choose Delete account (or Delete my data as a guest). You can also email us with your username.
- Access or correct your data: email us.
- Notifications and ad tracking: change them in your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your data. Email us to use them. You can also complain to your local privacy authority, which in Canada is the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
Children
The games are not meant for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
